Answer:

Given resistance :

  • R1 = 6 Ω
  • R2 = 2 Ω
  • R3 = 3 Ω
  • R4 = 4 Ω
  • R5 = 8 Ω

To find:

  • Resistance between A and B.

SoluTion:

Here, R2, R3 and R4 are in series combination. (say Q)

R1, Q, R5 in parallel combination.

R1 = 6 Ω

Rs = R2 + R3 + R4

→ 2 + 3 + 4

→ 9 Ω

1/R (parallel) = 1/R1 + 1/Q

→ 1/6 + 1/9

→ 1/18

→ R (parallel) = 18 Ω

Next, 1/Rp = 1/18 + 1/8

→ 13/72

Hence, resistance between A and B is 72/13 Ω
