Answer:

R = 0.1

area = 0.5

resistivity = 1.7 ( 10)

R = Ρ L /A

R = 1.7( 10 ) 0.1/0.5

R = 3.4

Given:

length = 0.1 km

Radius of the given wire = 0.5mm

Resistivity  of copper metal= 1.7 × 10 ohm

To Find

Resistance of wire

Explanation:

R = ρ×(l/a), we get, R = ρ× (l/2πr²)

l = 0.1 km = 100m

r = 0.5 mm = 0.5 × 10⁻³

R = ((1.7 × 10⁻⁸) Ωm × 100m)/ (3.14×(0.5×10⁻³)²) m²

  = 2.16Ω

Answer = 2.16Ω
