Area of cross section of eureka wire can be written as -

A = πr^2

A = 3.142 × (2×10^-4/2)^2

A = 3.142×10^-8 m^2

Resistance of the eureka wire will be calculated as -

R = ρ × l / A

R = 49×10^-8 × 1.1 / 3.142×10^-8

R = 17.15 ohm
