Solution :

The potential drop across 3Ω,6Ω3Ω,6Ω and 2Ω2Ω resistors are same as parallel.

we also know Hα1RHα1R

So of these 2Ω2Ω resistor will generate more heat .

Similarly 5Ω5Ω and 4Ω4Ω are in parallel, so 4ω4ω resistor will generate more heat.

Now, the gives circuit equivalent to

V1V2=1209=920V1V2=1209=920

V1=(929)V1=(929)VV

V2=(2029)V2=(2029)VV

Power accross 2Ω2Ω resistor

P1=V212=(929)2V2P1=V122=(929)2V2

Power accross 4Ω4Ω resistor

P2=V224=(2029)2V4P2=V224=(2029)2V4

P2>P1P2>P1

These heat generated across 4Ω4Ω resistor is maximum

Answer : 6Ω
