⏪THE Resultant R of two forces is given by ,

r \:  =  \sqrt{a {}^{2} + b {}^{2}  + 2ab \:  \:  cos  \alpha }  \\  \\  \\
Here A = 6 N

B = 8 N

Also Cos@ = 90° since they are perpendicular.

We have

R = √ ( 6 )^2 + ( 8 )^2 + 2 × 6 × 8 × 0

R = √ 100

Hence resultant is 10N.

Answer:

Resultant is 10N.

Explanation :- r \: = \sqrt{a {}^{2} + b {}^{2} + 2ab \: \: cos \alpha } \\ \\ \\

Here A = 6 N

B = 8 N

Also Cos@ = 90° since they are perpendicular.

We have

R = √ ( 6 )^2 + ( 8 )^2 + 2 × 6 × 8 × 0

R = √ 100.
