resultant between two forces is √A^2+B^2+2ABcos¤ ,where ¤ is angle between the vectors.
angle in this case is 90° and we know that cos90° is 0 hence the and is √A^2+B^2 which is √36+64=√100=10.

8^2+6^2=64 +36 =100
