or, x² + (a + 6) x - (a + 1) x - (a + 1) (a + 6) = 0

or, x (x + a + 6) - (a + 1) (x + a + 6) = 0

or, (x + a + 6) (x - a - 1) = 0

Therefore,

either x + a + 6 = 0 or x - a - 1 = 0

Then, x = - a - 6 and x = a + 1

Therefore, the required solution be

x = (- a - 6), (a + 1)
