6 {x}^{2} + 7x - 10 = 0 \\ lets \: solve \: it \: by \: the \: quadratic \: formula \\ it \: say \: \\ x = \frac{ - b + \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac } }{2a} \\ and \: the \: second \: root \: is \: given \: by \\ x = \frac{ - b - \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac } }{2a} \\ \\ here \: \\ a = 6 \\ b = 7 \\ c = - 10 \\ substituting \: the \: values \: in \: the \: formula \: we \: will \: get \\ x = \frac{ - 7 + \sqrt{ {7}^{2} - 4 \times 6 \times - 10} }{2 \times 6} \\ x = \frac{- 7 + \sqrt{289} }{12} \\ x = \frac{ - 7 + 17}{12} \\ x = \frac{10}{12} \\ x = \frac{5}{6} \\ \\ similarly \: the \: secnd \: root \: will \: be \\ x = \frac{ - 7 - 17}{12} \\ x = \frac{ - 24}{12} \\ x = - 2 \\ \\ so \: we \: get \: two \: answers \\ x = \frac{5}{6} and \: x = - 2
