HELLO MATE!......

given....

2 {x}^{2} - 12x + 18 = 0 \\ \\ 2x {}^{2} - 6x - 6x + 18 = 0 \\ \\ 2x(x - 3) - 6(x - 3) = 0 \\ \\ (2x - 6)(x - 3) = 0 \\ \\ 2x - 6 = 0 \: \: and \: \: x - 3 = 0 \\ \\ 2x = 6 \: \: and \: \: \: x = 3 \\ \\ x = 3 \\ \\

CHECKING》

2(3)^2-12(3)+18=0

2(9)-36+18=0

36-36=0

0=0

HOPE IT HELPS U DEAR......

2x^2 -12x+18=0

x^2 -6x+9=0

use the formula

x=-b+root(b^2 -4ac)/2a , -b- root(b^2-4ac)/2a

=6+ root(36-4(1)(9))/2 ,6- root(36-4(1)(9))/2

=6+ root(0)/2 , 6-root(0)/2

=3,3

NOTE: whenever discriminant comes out to be 0 then both the roots will be equal and real

other method could be mid term splitting

x^2-6x+9=0

(9=3*3 and 3+3=6)

x^2-3x-3x+9=0

x(x-3) -3(x-3)=0

(x-3)(x-3)=0

x=3,3 are the roots

HOPE IT HELPS

:)
