2.

${x }^{2} - 2x + 3 = 0$

${x}^{2} - 3x + x - 3 = 0$

$x(x - 3) + 1(x - 3) = 0$

$(x + 1)(x - 3) = 0$

roots :

$x = - 1$

or

$x = 3$
