2x(x-24)=50

⇒2x²-48x=50

2x²-48x-50=0 (now seperate 48x into two parts)

2x²-50x+2x-50=0 (take common from both the equation)

2x(x-25)+2(x-25)=0( Now x-25 is common in both )

(2x+2)(x-25)=0( to make the equation equal from both sides we have to  take the value of x such a number that the whole equation becomes zero)

So  x=-2 or x= 25
