3 {x}^{2}  - 5x - 2 = 0 \\   3{x}^{2}  - 6x  +  x - 2 = 0 \\ 3x(x - 2) + (x - 2) = 0 \\ (x - 2)(3x + 1) = 0 \\

\underline\mathcal\purple{case \: i \: :-}

x - 2 = 0 \\ x = 2

\underline\mathcal\purple{case \: ii \: :-}

3x + 1 = 0 \\ 3x =  - 1 \\ x =  \frac{ - 1}{3}
