2x² - 2√2x - 1 = 0  
In above Eqn 

D = b²-4ac = (-2√2)² -4*2*1
                  = 8 + 8 = 16
        So, √D = +4 or -4

So, x = -b + √D/2a or -b - √D/2a
         = 2√2 +4/4 or 2√2 -4 /4
 
        = √2/2 + 1 or √2/2 - 1
