Answer:

2x²-3x-5 = 0

D=b²- 4ac

D=(-3)² - 4(2)(-5)

D= 9 +40

D=49

x = - b ±^D

_______

2a

x = - (-3)±^49

_________

2(2)

x = 3 ± 7

_______

4

x = 3 +7 x = 3-7

________ =_______

4 4

x =10/4 = x = - 4/4

x =5/2 = x = -1

Therefore the roots of the the quadratic formula is x =5/2 and x = -1
