2x^2-x+1/8=0
Taking LCM
16x^2-8x+1=0
Here a= 16 , b=-8 , c=1
DISCRIMENT (D)= b^2-4ac = 64-64 =0 thus it has eqal roots
We know that
X=(-b+-√D)/2a
Put value of b , D and a in above formula
We get,
X=8/32
Therefore x= 1/4 and 1/4
Since D=0 therefore it has eqal roots
Ans...... Is 1/4 and 1/4

Heya !!!

2X² - X + 1/8 = 0

16X² - 8X + 1 = 0

We try to split 16 into two parts . Such that their sum will be 8 and product will be 16.

Clearly,

4 +4 = 8

and,

4 × 4 = 16

So,

16X² -8X + 1 = 0

16X² - ( 4+4)X + 1 = 0

16X² -4X - 4X + 1 = 0

4X ( 4X -1) -1 ( 4X - 1) = 0

( 4X -1 ) ( 4X -1) = 0

( 4X -1) = 0

X = 1/4

Hence,

The given quadratic polynomial has two equal zeroes which is 1/4.
