6x ^{2}  - x - 2 \\ through \: mid \: term \: split \\ 6x ^{2}  - 4x + 3x - 2 \\ 2x(3x - 2) + 1(3x - 2) \\ (3x - 2)(2 x + 1) \\  \\ when \:  \: 3x - 2 = 0 \\ then \:  \: x =  \frac{2}{3}   \\  \\ when \:  \: 2x + 1 = 0 \\  then \: x =   \frac{ - 1}{2}  \\  \\ so \: roots \: are \:  \frac{2}{3} and \frac{ - 1}{2}
