Given:-

  • 2p²-p = 15

To Find:-

  • Roots of the Equation.

SoluTion:-

→ 2p²-p = 15

→ 2p²-p-15 = 0

☞ 2p²-p-15 = 0 is in the form of Quadratic Equation ax²+bx+c = 0

➝ a = 2, b = -1 & c = -15

By Dharacharya Formula

\Large{\boxed{\sf{x = \frac{-b±\sqrt{b²-4ac}}{2a}}}}

→\;\Large{\sf{\frac{-(-1)±\sqrt{(-1)²-(4×2×-15)}}{2×2}}}

→\;\Large{\sf{\frac{1±\sqrt{1-(-120)}}{4}}}

→\;\Large{\sf{\frac{1±\sqrt{1+120}}{4}}}

→\;\Large{\sf{\frac{1±\sqrt{121}}{4}}}

→\;\Large{\sf{\frac{1±\sqrt{(11)²}}{4}}}

→\;\Large{\sf{\frac{1±11}{4}}}

→\;\Large{\sf{\frac{1+11}{4}}} (or) \Large{\sf{\frac{1-11}{4}}}

→\;\Large{\sf{\frac{12}{4}}} (or) \Large{\sf{\frac{10}{4}}}

Value of p is ☞ 3 (or) 5/2

\Large{✓}
