solving by completing the square method ,
dividing by coefficient of x² , that is , 2
x² - x/2 + 1/16 = 0
x² - x/2 + x² / 16 - x²/16 + 1/16 = 0
[ x - x/4 ]² = x²/16 - 1/16
x- x/4 = x - 1 / 4
"x" gets cancelled on both sides ,
-x/4 = -1/4
-4x = -4
x = -4/-4
x = 1
