Step-by-step explanation:

Roots are

 \frac{ - b  ± \sqrt{ {b}^{2}  - 4ac}  }{2a}

b = -17

a = 3

c= 25

Using the above values

 \frac{17± \sqrt{ { - 17}^{2}  - 4 \times 3 \times 25} }{2 \times 3}

 \frac{17± \sqrt{289 - 300} }{6}

 =  \frac{17± \sqrt{ - 11} }{6}

Hence proved
