  • Find the roots of the quadratic equation by splitting the middle term.

\star\:\:\:\bf\large\underline\blue{Solution:-}

3 {x}^{2}  - 5x + 2 = 0

 \implies3 {x}^{2}  - 3x - 2x  +  2 = 0

 \implies3x(x - 1) - 2(x - 1)= 0

 \implies(3x - 2)(x - 1)= 0

Therefore, either 3x - 2 = 0 Or x - 1 = 0

So,

3x - 2 = 0

 \implies x =  \frac{2}{3}

And,

x - 1 = 0

 \implies x =  1

  • The roots of the quadratic equation are \frac{2}{3} and 1.
