Find the roots of the equation x + - = 3, x = 0. x​

x-1/x = 3`

⇒ x2 - 3x -1 = 0

On comparing this equation with ax2 + bx + c = 0, we get

a = 1, b = -3 and c = -1

By using quadratic formula, we get

`x = (-b±sqrt(b^2 - 4ac))/(2a)`

`⇒ x = (3±sqrt(9+4))/2`

`⇒ x = (3±sqrt13)/2`

`∴ x = (3+sqrt13)/2
