Step-by-step explanation:

think the question must be :

find the roots of the equation: x² - 2(a²+b²)x + (a²-b²)² = 0

=>x² - (a+b)²x - (a-b)²x + (a+b)²(a-b)² = 0

=>x[x - (a+b)²] - (a-b)²[x - (a+b)²] = 0

=>[x - (a+b)²][x - (a-b)²] = 0

=>x = (a+b)² , (a-b)²

However if the question was: x² - 2(a²+b²)x + (a²-b²) = 0

Then apply quadratic formula...

x = [2(a²+b²) ± √{4(a²+b²)² - 4(a²-b²)}]/2

= [2(a²+b²) ± 2√{(a²)² + (b²)² - 2a²b² - a² + b²)}]/2

This would be the answer.

However I don't think this is the question. It should the one I mentioned before, else the answer is leading to many complications.

Hope it helps you

Here, we can also use quadratic formula method but if we will use then we find so difficult problems so that's why i used this formula and this is the easiest way to solve this type of questions!!!
