8x² + 14x +5 = 0

8x² + 10x + 4x +5 =0

2x(4x+5)+1(4x+5) = 0

(4x+5) (2x+1) = 0

4x+5 = 0

4x = –5

x =  \frac{ - 4}{5}

2x+1 = 0

2x = –1

x =  \frac{ - 1}{2}
