X = 22 or X = 22

Given :

Quadratic equation ➡ 2x^2 -2√2 +1

To find :

Roots of the quadratic equation using quadratic formula

Explanation :

Using quadratic equation :

= -b ±√b^2-4ac/2a

Comparing the equation 2x^2 - 2√2x + 1 , we get

b = -2√2

a = 2

c = 1

Now ,

= -(-2√2) ± √ (-2√2)^2 - 4(2)(1) / 2(2)

= 2√2 ± √ 8-8 / 4

= 2√2 ± 0 / 4

We obtained two roots :

x = 22 + 0/4 x = 2/2

or ,

x = 22 - 0/4 x = 2/2
