Given,

10x - 1/x=3

(10x² -1)/x= 3. (take LCM)

10x²-1= 3x. (cross multiplication)

10x²-3x-1=0

10x² +2x -5x -1= 0

2x(5x+1) -1(5x+1)=0.

(5x+1) (2x-1)=0

So,

2x-1= 0

x=1/2

or ,

5x+1=0

x= -1/5

Hence,,

x=1/2 or (-1/5).
