x^ 2 - 3x -10 = 0

we need to find 2 nos such that their sum is 3 and product is 10

x^2+2x -5x -10 = 0

x(x+2) -5(x+2) = 0

(x+2) (x-5) = 0

x +2 = 0

x = -2

x-5 = 0

x= 5

the two roots are -2 and 5

Answer:

x²-3x-10=0

x²-5x+2x-10=0

x(x-5)+2(x-5)=0

(x+2) (x-5) = 0

x+2=0. x-5=0

x=-2. x=5

So, x=-2 and x=5 are the roots of this quadratic equation....
