Find the roots of the following quadratic equations if there exist. x^2 + 5 = -6x​

x^2 + 5 = -6x

x^2 +6x +5

discriminant = b^2 -4ac

= 36 - 20

= 16

16>0

roots are real and distinct!

using quadratic formula

-b +/- √b^2 -4ac/2a

-6 +/- √16/2

-6 + 4/2 or -6 - 4/2

-1 or -5
