3x²+ 5x + 12 = 0

a = 3 , b = 5 , c = 12

x = - b ± √b²- 4ac/2a

= -5± √5²- 4(3)12/2(3)

= -5 ± √25 - 144/6

= -5 ± √-119/6

x = -5 + √-119/6

and

x = -5 - √-119/6
