Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

2x^2-3x+5=0

To find:-

Find the roots of the quadratic equation by formula method ?

Solution:-

Given quardratic equation is 2x^2-3x+5=0

On comparing with the standard quadratic equation ax^2+bx+c = 0

a = 2

b = -3

c=5

Formula method:-

x =[-b±√(b^2-4ac)]/2a

On Substituting these values in the above formula

=> x = [-(-3)±√{(-3)^2-4(2)(5)]/2(2)

=>x =[3±√(9-40)]/4

=> x = [3±√-31]/4

x = (3+√-31)/4 and (3-√-31)/4

Answer:-

Roots of the given quardratic equation are

(3+√-31)/4 and (3-√-31)/4

Used formula:-

Formula method:-x =[-b±√(b^2-4ac)]/2a
