Find the roots of the quadratic equation x-1/3x =1/6

Answer-:

x-1/3x= 1/6

=> x {}^{2} -1/3x= 1/6

=> 6( 3x { }^{2} -1) = 3x

=> 18x {}^{2} -6= 3x

=> 18x {}^{2} [/text]-3x-6=0<br /><br />3(6x[tex] {}^{2} [/text]-x -2)<br /><br />=&gt; 6x[tex] {}^{2} -4x+3x-2=0

=> 2x(3x- 2) + (3x-2)

=> (2x+1) (3x-2)

=> x= -1/2 and x= 2/3
