Step-by-step explanation:

let \:  \alpha  \: and \:  \beta  \: be \: the \: roots \: of \: quadratic \:  {eq}^{n}

a  = 1.

b = 6.

c = 9.

Sum of the roots =  \alpha  +  \beta  =  \frac{ - b}{a}

 =   \frac{ - ( - 6)}{1}

 = 6.

Product of the roots =  \alpha . \beta  =  \frac{c}{a}

 =  \frac{9}{1}

 = 9.
