Here,

B = Coefficient of X = -3
And,
C = Constant term = 1
Discriminant ( D ) = B² - 4AC
=> (-3)² - 4 × 1 × 1
=> 9 - 4
=> 5
Therefore,
Roots of the given equation = -B+ ✓D/2A or -B - ✓D/2A
=>- ( -3 ) + ✓5 / 2 × 1 or -(-3) - ✓5 / 2 × 1
=> 3+✓5/2 or 3-✓5/2
