Question :-

Find the roots of x² + 3x -10 = 0

Answer :-

→ 2 and -5

Solution :-

We have a quadratic equation ,

→ x² + 3x -10 =0

Splitting the middle term

→ x² + 5x - 2x - 10 = 0

→ x(x + 5) -2(x + 5) = 0

→ (x + 5)(x - 2) = 0

Case (1) if

→ x + 5 = 0

x = - 5

Case (2) if -

→ x - 2 = 0

x = 2
