Length of each edge of the base = 10 in.

To Find : Total  Surface Area

Solution:

       Number of Triangular Faces : 4

        Number of Square Faces : 1

Therefore,

       Area of each Triangular face = 1/2*(10*12)

                                                        = 0.5* 120

                                                        = 60 sq.in

       Area of the square base = 10*10 = 100sq.in

       Total Surface Area = 4* Area of Triangular Face + Area of the base

                                       = 4*(60) + 100    =  240 + 100     =  340 sq.ins
