Given, a=2i^+3j^+4k^

and b=i^−2j^+k^

So scalar product

a.b=(2i^+3i^−4k^)(i−2j^+k^)

=2.1+3(−1)−4(1)

=2−5−4 [Here i^.i^=1,j^.j^=1,k^.k^=1]

=2−10

=−8.
