Answer:

We know, Cost price = Buying price + Overhead expenses

\therefore Cost price = Rs 700 + Rs 50 = Rs 750

Profit percent = 5%

We know,

\\Profit= Cost\ price\times \frac{Profit\ percent}{100} \\Profit=750\times \frac{5}{100}

\therefore Profit = Rs 37.5

Now, Selling price (SP) = Cost price + Profit =Rs 750 + Rs 37.5 = Rs 787.50

Therefore, the selling price (SP) is Rs 787.50

  • Selling price of cycle is Rs.735.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find:-

  • Selling price of cycle.

Solution:-

Given that,

Profit is 5% on cycle of Rs.700.

Profit percent = 5%.

Cost price = Rs.700 .

Profit = Selling price - Cost price.

  • Profit is gain, which we get after Selling something.
  • Selling price is price by which something is selled to someone.
  • Cost price is normal price or original price of something.

➝ S.P - 700 [Here, S.P is Selling price]

Profit is S.P - 700

 \boxed{\bold{Profit\: percent = \cfrac{Profit}{C.P} \times 100}}

[Here, C.P is Cost price]

➝ 5 = S.P - 700/700 × 100

➝ 5 × 700 = (S.P - 700)×100

➝ 3500 = (S.P - 700) × 100

➝ 3500/100 = S.P - 700

➝ 35 = S.P - 700

➝ 700 + 35 = S.P

➝ 735 = S.P

Or, S.P = 735

Therefore,

Selling price of cycle is Rs.735.
