Let the CP be x

Loss % = 25

By this data SP will be ,

x - 25%of x

 = x -  \frac{x}{4}

 \frac{3x}{4}

Given , SP = $1200

Therefore

 \frac{3x}{4}  = 1200

x =  \frac{1200 \times 4}{3}

x = $1600 Ans

Hence , CP = $1600
