GIVEN :-

marked price ( mp ) = 12000 rs

discount offered ( d% ) = 10%

sell tax charged = 5%

TO FIND :-

selling price (sp)

SOLUTION :-

we know the marked price = 12000 rs

now 5 % sell tax on 12000

 \implies \rm{100\% = 12000}

\implies \rm{1\% =  \dfrac{12000}{100} }

\implies \rm{5\% =  \dfrac{12000}{100}  \times 5}

\implies \rm{5\% =  120 \times 5}

\implies \rm{5\% =  600}

so total =

\implies \rm{12000 + 600}

\implies \rm{ \bf \: 12600 \: rs}

now we know formula for selling price

\implies \boxed{ \rm{selling \: price\:  = marked \: price - discount}}

hence,

\implies \rm{discount \:  = 5\%}

\implies \rm{discount \:   =  \dfrac{12600}{100}  \times 10}

\implies \rm{discount \:   =  \dfrac{12600}{10}  }

\implies \rm{ \bf \: discount \:   =  {1260} \:  rs}

now selling price :-

 \implies \rm{selling \: price \:  = 12600 - 1260}

\implies \boxed{ \boxed{ \rm{selling \: price \:  = 11340 \: rs \: }}}
