Given:

A series of numbers 2, 2.5, 3.75, 6.56, 13.12, 29.52,?

To Find:

The next term in the series is?

Solution:

The given problem can be solved by developing a common logic between every term.

1. The given series is 2, 2.5, 3.75, 6.56, 13.12, 29.52,?.

2. The second term in the series is obtained as,

=> Second term  = 2 x 1.25 = 2.5,

3. The third term of the series is obtained as,

=>Third term  =  2.5 x 1.5 = 3.75,

4. The fourth term of the series is obtained as,

=>Fourth term  =  3.75 x 1.75 = 6.56, ( Rounded off to two decimals ).

5. The fifth term of the series is obtained as,

=>Fifth term  =  6.56 x 2 = 13.12,

6. The sixth  term of the series is obtained as,

=>Sixth term  =  13.12 x 2.25 = 29.52, ( Rounded off to two decimals ).

7. The seventh term of the series can be obtained using similar logic,

=> Seventh term = 29.52 x 2.5 = 73.80.

Therefore, the next number in the series is 73.80.
