Answer:

each corners are occupied by (3/4)πr² and centre is πr². = 4(3/4)πr² = 3πr²

the area of square is a² = 60²

area of shaded portion is total square area - 3πr²

= 3600-3×3.14× 17.5² = 715.125 cm²

Answer:

Hello

Answer of this question is

1358.25 cm ( 2 ) ( 2 = square )

steps to find answer

First of all find the area of whole square

side of square = 60 cm

Area of square = 3600 cm (2)

Now find the area of 2 circle

one is in the middle of square and another is present in the form of 4 quarters

Area of circle = π r (2)

Radius of middle circle = 21

Radius of another circle = 17.5

According to this

Areas of circle are 1323 cm ( 2) and 918.75 cm (2)

Add the areas of circle

Areas of circle 1 + area of circle 2 = 1323 + 918.75 = 2241.75

Subtract the above value from the area of square

3600 - 2241.75 = 1358.25

area of shaded region = 1358.25
