Area of circle is πr²
the area of shaded region is area of bigger circle - area of smaller circle
Area=π(5²-4²)
= 3.14*9
=28.26cm²

Inner radius, r = 4 cm
Outer radius, R = 5 cm
Area of circular ring = π(R+r)(R-r)
= 22/7 (5+4) (5-4)
= 22/7 × 9 × 1
= 28.29 cm^2
