I can't understand what do you mean by 'at the rate of 9'.
otherwise the answer is.....
SI=Rs.(2000×2×1/2)÷100
=Rs.20

I too can't understand " at rate of 9 " .....
But still your answer -
SI = Rs ( 2000×2×1/2)÷100
= Rs 20
