Answer:Area=50 cm^2 and perimeter=20√2 cm

Given:

Diagonal of the square=10 cm

To find:

Area and perimeter

Solution:-

Let the sides be x

In ∆ABC

AD^2+DC^2=AC^2

x^2+x^2=10^2

2x^2=100

x^2=50

We know that

Area of square=(Side)^2=x^2

Therefore,Area of ABCD=50 cm^2

now finding side

x^2=50

x=√50

Perimeter of square=4×side

=4×√50

=4×√25×√2

=4×5√2

=20√2 cm
