area of rectangle =l×b
=6.4×2.5
=16 cm^2
area of rectangle =area of square
area of square=16 cm^2
area of square =s^2
s^2=16^2
s=4 cm

Given:-

  • The area of rectangle = area of square
  • Length of rectangle is 6.4 and breadth is 2.5 cm.

To Find:-

  • Side of square?

Solution:-

Area of rectangle

  \star{ \underline{ \boxed{ \rm{ \pink{length \times breadth}}}}}

Finding the area

 \Longrightarrow6.4 \times 2.5 \\  \\  \Longrightarrow \rm16 \: cm

Area of square

  \star{ \underline{ \boxed{ \rm{ \green{ {side}^{2} }}}}}

Finding the side

 \Longrightarrow  {x}^{2}  = 16 \: cm \\  \\  \Longrightarrow x =  \sqrt{16}  \\   \\ \Longrightarrow x = 4 \: cm

Hence, the measure of side of square is 4 cm.
