area of a square = side ×side

=X×X ( taking the side x)

so

x}^{2}  = 36

x =  \sqrt{36}

x =   +6

we are not taking the negetive possibility because side can't be negetive

Answer:

side (s) = 6

Explanation:

let the side of the square be s

  we know that s^{2} = \\ area of the square

                        s^{2} = 36\\ s = \sqrt{36\\}\\s= 6

Hence the side of the square is 6m
