Answer :-

  • All sides of the parallelogram are 75cm,75cm,60cm and 60cm respectively.

Given :-

  • Ratio of the adjacent sides of a parallelogram

To Find :-

  • All sides of the parallelogram.

Solution :-

Let

  • ABCD be the parallelogram in which
  • AB = CD and
  • BC = AD

Here

  • Perimeter of the parallelogram is 270cm.

Put x in the ratio

  • 4x
  • 5x

As we know that

  • Opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal.

So

  • AB = CD = 5x
  • BC = AD = 4x

According to question :-

Perimeter of a parallelogram is

2 (a + b) units

⇒ 2 (5x + 4x) = 270

⇒ 2 × 9x = 270

⇒ 9x = 270/2

⇒ 9x = 135

⇒ x = 135/9

⇒ x = 15

Now

  • AB = CD = 5x = 5 × 15 = 75cm
  • BC = AD = 4x = 4 × 15 = 60cm

Hence, all sides of the parallelogram are 75cm,75cm,60cm and 60cm respectively.
