Answer:

let as suppose = 3x and 5x

perimeter of parallelogram = 2(a+b)

1680=2(3x+5x)

1680=2(8x)

1680÷2=8x

840÷8=x

105=x

105×3 , 105×5

Perimeter of parallelogram = 1680 cm.

Sides of parallelogram are in the ratio 3 : 5.

__________ [ GIVEN ]

• Let first side of parallelogram be 3M and second side be 5M.

____________ [ ASSUME ]

We know that..

» Perimeter of parallelogram = 2(a + b)

→ 1680 = 2(3M + 5M)

→ 1680 = 2(8M)

→ 1680 = 16M

→ 16M = 1680

→ M = 1680/16

→  M=105

____________________________

So,

First side of parallelogram = 3M

=> 3(105)

=> 315

Second side of parallelogram = 5M

=> 5(105)

=> 525

____________________________

Sides of parallelogram are 315 cm and 525 cm

☆ VERIFICATION :

From above calculations we have M = 105

Put value of M in this : 1680 = 2(3M + 5M)

=> 1680 = 2(8M)

=> 1680 = 16M

=> 1680 = 16(105)

=> 1680 = 1680
