• Find the simple interest and amount on Rs. 3000 at 10% p.a. for 5 years.

Concept :

• We have to find the Simple Interest when the principal, rate, time is given. We will apply the SI formula where, SI = PRT/100.

Solution :

Given :-

★ Principal = Rs. 3000

★ Rate = 10%

★ Time = 5 yrs.

Formula used :-

★ SI= PRT/100 ★

Where, SI = Simple interest, P = principal,R = rate, T = time.

⇒SI = (3000 × 10 × 5)/100

⇒SI = (30 × 10 × 5)

⇒SI = (300 × 5 )

⇒ SI = Rs.1500

Therefore, the simple interest on Rs. 3000 at 10% per anum for 5 years is Rs.1500.
