Answer :-

  • Option d) is correct.
  • The simple interest is Rs 624.

To find :-

  • The simple interest.

Solution :-

  • Here, the principal, rate and time is given to us. We have to find the simple interest.

We know that :-

 \underline{ \boxed{\sf SI =  \dfrac{Principal \times Rate \times Time}{100}}}

Where,

  • SI = Simple Interest.

Here,

  • Principal = Rs 5200.
  • Rate = 6% per annum.
  • Time = 2 years.

Therefore,

  \longmapsto\rm SI =  \dfrac{5200 \times 6 \times 2}{100}

 \rm \longmapsto SI =  \dfrac{52 \!\!\!\not0 \!\!\!\not0 \times 6 \times 2}{1 \!\!\!\not0 \!\!\!\not0}

 \rm \longmapsto SI =  \dfrac{52 \times 6 \times 2}{1}

 \longmapsto \rm SI = 52 \times 6 \times 2

\longmapsto \overline{ \boxed{ \rm SI = Rs \: 624}}

Hence :-

  • The simple interest on Rs 5200 at the rate of 6% annual interest in 2 years is Rs 624.

  • So, option d) is correct.
