Given :-

Principal = ₹88,000

Rate =  \bf{{16}} \bf\dfrac{2}{3}% \bf{{ p.a.}}

To Find :-

• Simple Interest

Formula, which we will use :-

S.I. =  \bf\dfrac{P\times R\times T}{100}

Solution :-

Rate =  \bf{{16}} \bf\dfrac{2}{3}% \bf{{ p.a.}}

Let us change mixed fraction into improper fraction.

= \bf\dfrac{50}{3}% \bf{{ p.a.}}

Time = 9 months

Let us change months into years.

=  \bf\dfrac{9}{12}(1 year = 12 months)

=  \bf\dfrac{3}{4}years

S.I. =  \bf\dfrac{88000\times 50\times 3}{100\times 3\times 4}

=  \bf{{11000}}

 \therefore \bf{{Simple}} \bf{{Interest=Rs. 11,000}}
